A Mama's body is one hard working body that requires a particular approach. In our Yoga with Babes class we focus on rebuilding pelvic floor and core strength which is dramatically affected by pregnancy and birth.
Equally important is our focus on stretching and releasing the areas prone to tension: the neck, shoulders and lower back.
There are many unique considerations when doing Yoga with Mamas: overworked joints, fatigue, soft ligaments and many more but Mamas also display great strength and energy.
Our classes also incorporate some baby Yoga. Baby gets a turn on the mat as a cuddle becomes a great weight resistance excercise! We sing, massage, play and enjoy our little ones.
The class is run in a relaxed format, our Bubbas are important people too, so if you need to feed or change or cuddle your baby, you are welcome to do so.
As our class is a specialised Yoga class we are able to cater for many common post birth medical issues such as Diastasis recti (also known as abdominal separation) or Post Cesarian section. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your post birth body and Yoga.
Our Mums & Bubs class is run by teachers with specialised post-natal training and who have personal experience rebuilding their post-baby bodies.
